Week-end or one day trips

Should you be on a business trip to Ghana and wish to spend one day or a week-end touring, ABACAR team will be glad to give you a quick overview and a better understanding of this wonderful country. A visit of a monkey sanctuary or to Kakum National Park is even possible on such a short period of time as well as a tour by the Volta Lake...

Here is an example of a one-day-trip from Accra:

Route: Accra-Accra via the south of the Volta Lake

We leave Accra early in the morning to Aburi where we can have a stop to visit the botanical garden, offering a wide range of the Ghanaian flora. We then continue and have a stop for lunch at a nice place before the Volta Lake should you like to try the local fufu or banku.

Should you rather have a continental lunch, we then go to Akosombo where we will eat at the Volta Hotel, offering a unique view on the dam that provides Ghana most of its electrical power.

We then carry on south and stop at a fishing village on the lake side where we will see the fish market and have a canoe ride on the lake.

We keep on south, stopping a bit further, to climb a hill from where we can have a stunning view to the other side of the dam and the Volta lake.

We leave after this exercise and go for a stop at a quiet Lodge where we will relax, have some cool drinks and dinner before carrying on back to Accra.
