AKWASIDAE FESTIVAL: ENJOY A TOUR BUILT AROUND THIS GREAT EVENT!
Akwasidae is a traditional festival of the Akan people, which takes place on a sunday, every six weeks.

Akwasidae takes place in Kumasi, the Ashanti capital and the Asantehene (the Ashanti King), Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, will get out of his palace on his palanquin in order to receive hommage from the sub-chiefs. This ia also an opportunity for any chief under his authority to show his allegeance to the Asantehene.
Music and traditional dances make this festival very colourful all along the day. The Asantehene and chiefs wear colourful traditional Kente cloth and a lot of gold jewelery showing their power. Attending to AKWASIDAE is an unforgettable experience!
